Crispy whole roasted chicken is elegant enough for a Sunday dinner, or simple enough to make for dinner any day of the week. This chicken is so easy to prepare, with minimal ingredients needed. Just chicken, butter and some spices that you may already have in the pantry. The chicken is tasty with a crispy seasoned crust while still being tender and juicy. If you have any leftovers, there are many ways that you can use up the leftovers. From chicken tacos to using it in casseroles.

The first step to making the juicy chicken is to clean it and remove the giblets from the chicken. I used a 3 pound chicken, if you use a larger one then you may need to adjust the cooking time to ensure that it cooks fully. Place it into either a large baking dish, or in a roasting pan similar to what you would use for turkey. Pour melted butter over the chicken and sprinkle with seasonings. The seasonings that I used, were salt, pepper and paprika, to give it a little bit of spice. You can use any other seasonings that you would like, such as dried herbs.
