Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies decorated into reindeer for Christmas. It is so quick and easy to turn these classic snickerdoodle cookies into reindeer using pretzels, chocolate chips, and m&ms. They are perfect for a fun treat to bake with your whole family. Everyone will love these fun and festive snickerdoodle cookies.

The cookie dough is made just like a classic snickerdoodle cookie, you can even use a premade cookie dough to make them. After the cookies have baked, decorate them with the pretzels for the antlers, chocolate chips for the eyes, and m&ms for the nose. Let the cookies cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Reindeer Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • pretzels
  • chocolate chips
  • m&ms

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Place the sugar and cinnamon into a shallow dish.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and roll each ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, and decorate each cookie with the pretzels, chocolate chips and m&ms.
