Reindeer Chocolate Cookies

Soft and chewy chocolate sugar cookies decorated with pretzels, candy eyes, and red M&Ms to make the cookies look like reindeers. Everyone will love these easy chewy chocolate cookies for a fun and simple Christmas treat this year.

The cookie dough is made like a classic sugar cookie dough, roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and top with pretzels, candy eyes, and M&Ms.

Reindeer Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pretzels
  • candy eyes
  • red M&Ms

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until it is smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Remove from the oven and top with candy eyes, pretzels and M&Ms.
