Reese’s Pieces Snickerdoodle Heart Blossom Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies filled with Reese’s pieces, and rolled in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Giving the cookies a delicious snickerdoodle flavor. The cookies are also topped off with chocolate hearts for Valentine’s day.

The cookie dough is made like a classic peanut butter cookie, except for the addition of Reese’s pieces mixed into the cookie dough. Roll the dough into balls and roll each one into a dish of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet and bake until they are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and top with a chocolate heart.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Reese's pieces
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • chocolate hearts

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter and both sugars until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the Reese's pieces. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll in the sugar mixture. Place cookies onto a large ungresaed baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with chocolate hearts.
