Soft and chewy chocolate brownie cookies with a fun red velvet twist. These brownie cookies are made from a homemade red velvet flavored brownie batter. They are rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to make them taste like a classic snickerdoodle cookie. These cookies will make a delicious and fun Valentine’s day themed treat that everyone will love.

The brownie batter is quick and easy to make because all of the ingredients are whisked together in a large bowl until smooth. Add red food coloring into the brownie batter to make them red velvet. Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon into a shallow dish. Use a cookie scoop to form the brownie batter into balls, and roll each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place the cookies onto a large baking sheet at least 2-inches apart and bake until they are fully cooked through. Let the cookies cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Add in eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the red food coloring and mix until it is fully red.
  • In a shallow dish, combine sugar with cinnamon. Use a cookie scoop to form the brownie batter into balls, and roll each ball into the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place brownie cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
