I love pickles, so why not try them on top of cheesy pizza. This pickle and cheese pizza is not your traditional flavor combination to eat on pizza, but it is so delicious. Instead of a traditional pizza sauce, a easy garlic and olive oil mixture and brushed over the pizza crust. You don’t need very many ingredients for this tasty pizza. You can choose to make your own pizza dough for this. Or if to make this meal even more simple, you can use a premade pizza crust or frozen pizza dough. This pizza is a delicious and fun alternative to homemade pizza night.
Only 5 ingredients are needed to make this pizza, just a batch of homemade or premade pizza dough. Olive oil and minced garlic for the sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese and pickle slices. Roll the pizza dough into a gresed pizza pan. Instead of using a traditional tomato pizza sauce or alfredo sauce, this pizza uses a garlic oil spread. To make the garlic olive oil spread, in a small bowl combine some olive oil with minced garlic. And evenly brush it all over the pizza dough. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the garlic oil spread. You can also use a blend of cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese, or just mozzarella cheese for the entire pizza. Place pickle slices on top of the cheese and bake until the pizza dough is crispy and the cheese has melted.
