Peanut Butter Reindeer Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies decorated like reindeer, is the perfect Christmas themed treat to bake with your family this year. The cookies are a classic soft and chewy peanut butter cookie, that is decorated with pretzels, candy eyes, and M&M candy to make them look like reindeer. They are so much fun to turn a classic cookie into a fun Christmas-themed treat.

The dough for these cookies is a classic peanut butter cookie dough. But to save on time, you can use pre-made cookie dough, or use any other type of cookie if you do not like peanut butter. After the cookies have baked, decorate them with the pretzels for the antlers, candy eyes for the eyes, and M&Ms for the nose. Let cool completely before serving.

Peanut Butter Reindeer Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pretzels
  • candy eyes
  • M&Ms

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix butter with peanut butter, and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth. Add in flour mixture, mix until a thick dough forms. Roll the cookie dough into balls.
  • Place at least 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, and decorate with pretzels, eyes, and m&ms.
