The cookie dough is started with mixing flour with salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. The butter is mixed with peanut butter and brown sugar until it is fluffy. Egg and vanilla extract are added until smooth. Gradually add in the flour mixture, mixing until all of the flour is fully combined. Fold in diced apples, and press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish. Bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 cup butter, softened

- 1 large apple, diced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, mix butter with peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Add the flour mixture in two parts, mixing well until a thick dough forms.
- Fold in diced apples. Press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cut into bars.
