Fresh peach cobbler with a sweet buttery crust for a delicious end of summer dessert. Cobblers are a classic summer dessert that can use any type of fruit from apples to blackberries. But the most well known and my personal favorite cobbler is a classic peach cobbler. It tastes like summer, topped with creamy whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. I like to serve this cobbler warm although it also tastes great cold.

I used fresh peaches that I sliced, but you can also use canned sliced peaches if they are out of season. Place the sliced peaches into the bottom of a greased baking dish. To make the sweet buttery cobbler crust, whisk flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a medium bowl. Whisk melted butter, milk and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Evenly pour the mixture over the peaches in the baking dish and bake for 50-55 minutes. The cobbler crust should be lightly browned and it should come out clean with a tooth pick.
