You can make hot dogs simply by microwaving them or boiling them. The best hot dogs are grilled, but if you don’t want to pull the grill out or if the weather is not great for grilling. The way that I like to cook hot dogs is to roast them in the oven. You get that grilled charred taste without ever having to touch a grill. Cooking the hot dogs in the oven makes them taste just like grilled hot dogs. After using this cooking method, you will never go back to using the microwave to cook hot dogs again.

Using this method to cook the hot dogs, is so simple and can be on the table in 20 minutes. All you need is hot dogs, place how many hot dogs that you want onto a baking sheet. Make slits in each hot dog, lengthwise down the center without cutting them all the way down. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the hot dogs are heated through and browned on all sides. How ever long that you cook the hot dogs will depend on your preference. I like them to be lightly charred on all sides because it reminds of grilled hot dogs. But if you don’t, you can bake just until they are heated through.
