Roasting fresh vegetables in the oven is the easiest way to cook them. All they need is a little olive oil and your favorite seasonings and they are ready to go into the oven. Asparagus is any easy vegetable for this cooking method, because the only prep that the vegetables need is to have the ends cut off. With the seasonings that I choose for this, the asparagus has a slightly spicy taste with a little bit of garlic flavor. This asparagus is ready in less than 30 minutes and can be served with any main dish for a quick dinner.

To prepare the asparagus, wash them and trim the ends off of the asparagus. You can cut the asparagus in half as well if desired to make them more bite-sized. Mix the asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and minced garlic. The paprika makes gives them a slight spicy taste, although you can leave it out if you would rather less spice. Spread the asparagus out into a large baking dish or baking sheet. Roast them in the oven until the asparagus is crispy and lightly browned.
