Soft and chewy classic oatmeal cookies topped with a heart shaped chocolate. These easy blossom oatmeal cookies make the perfect easy treat to make this Valentine’s day. Everyone will love the soft and chewy oatmeal cookies, and the delicious heart chocolate on top.

The oatmeal cookie dough is made like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, roll it into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Once they are out of the oven, place one heart shaped chocolate on each cookie. Let them cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Oatmeal Heart Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • heart shaped chocolates

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, and place one heart shaped chocolate on each cookie.
