Soft and chewy classic chocolate chip cookies rolled in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, giving the cookies a delicious snickerdoodle flavor. And with candy eyes topped onto each cookie, making these easy cookies perfect for baking this Halloween season.

The cookie dough is made just like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, then it is rolled into balls and rolled in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a large baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and top with candy eyes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • candy eyes

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with candy eyes.
