Soft and chewy classic chocolate chip cookies topped with candy eyes, making them fun for a Halloween themed dessert. Everyone will love the classic soft and chewy texture of the cookies and the delicious chocolate chip cookie flavors.

The cookie dough is made just like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough. Roll the cookies into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and decorate with candy eyes.

Monster Eye Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • candy eyes

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, and both sugars until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined.
  2. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with candy eyes.
