The dough for these cookies is made with a classic soft gingerbread cookie dough. The m&ms candy is folded into the cookie dough and rolled into balls. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until they come out clean in the center. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack completely before serving.
M&M Gingerbread Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup m&ms
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. In another large bowl, combine butter, both sugars, and molasses until fluffy.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the m&ms.
- Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place at least 2-inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
