Quick and easy classic buttery snowball cookies filled with tons of delicious mint flavors from the mint extract, and filled with chocolate chips. Everyone will love these easy snowball cookies to serve this Christmas season or even for St. Patrick’s day.
The cookie dough is made similar to a classic snowball cookie, except for the addition of mint extract, green food coloring and chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls and bake on a baking sheet until the bottoms are lightly browned. Roll each baked cookie in a dish of powdered sugar.
Mint Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon mint extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- green food coloring
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together butter with sugar until smooth. Add in the mint extract. Mix in the flour until it is fully combined. Add in the food coloring until it is fully green.
- Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Place the powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the cookies in the powdered sugar.
