Lemon Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and chewy classic chocolate chip cookies with a delicious lemon flavor. The lemon flavor and chocolate chip flavor work perfectly together in these easy cookies. They make the perfect treat to bake for a fun spring or summer themed cookie that everyone will love.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough, except that instead of using vanilla extract, lemon juice is used. And the cookie dough is filled with chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Lemon Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and lemon juice, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart.
