Taco sauce is a must for taco nights. But instead of going to the store to pick up taco sauce, you can just as easily prepare it yourself at home in less than 20 minutes. With just a can of tomato sauce and some spices that you may already have on hand, it is so quick and easy to make your own homemade taco sauce. Serve this sauce on top of your favorite tacos or burritos for a delicious and easy dinner.
Canned tomato sauce is simmered with water and some spices over medium heat to create this homemade taco sauce. Since this sauce is homemade, you can add or leave out any seasonings that you want. To make the taco sauce spicy, chili powder, cumin and paprika are added to the sauce along with garlic and onion powder. But if you want a more mild taco sauce, you can leave out some of the spices and it will still be delicious.
