Pico De Gallo is a traditional topping to serve over tacos or fajitas. But also a great appetizer to serve with your favorite chips. The pico de gallo is spicy with diced jalapenos and tastes similar to hot sauce. But instead of being purred into a sauce, with pico de gallo, you just chop all of the ingredients and toss them together in a bowl. Pico de gallo makes the perfect topping to serve on top of tacos or any other spicy dish. But it also tastes great for serving as a dip to eat along with tortilla chips.
Fresh tomatoes mixed with diced red onion, jalapeno, chopped cilantro and lime juice creates a spicy appetizer. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare this quick appetizer. Then it chills in the fridge until you are ready to serve it. The pico de gallo is spicy just like salsa. Although you can adjust it by adding in more jalapenos for more spicy or reducing the amount of jalapenos for a more milder pico de gallo. Serve with tacos or chips for a quick and easy taco topping or appetizer.
