Halloween Pudding Snickerdoodle Cookies

Easy soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies made with a box of vanilla pudding mix, and made orange and purple food coloring, making them the perfect treat this Halloween. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies and the delicious snickerdoodle flavors.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough, except for the addition of vanilla pudding mix. Divide the cookie dough into two bowls, and mix one with purple food coloring and one with orange. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Roll each cookie in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Halloween Pudding Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (15 oz.) box vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange and purple food coloring
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pudding mix, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Divide the cookie dough into two bowls, and mix one with orange food coloring and one with purple. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Roll each cookie in the cinnamon sugar mixture, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
