Soft and chewy peppermint cookies filled with m&m candy. These delicious chewy grinch cookies make the perfect Christmas cookie to bake this winter. Everyone loves a chewy classic m&m cookie, and these cookies are just like a classic m&m cookie except it is filled with peppermint flavor, and colored green for the grinch. Make these fun Christmas cookies this year for a delicious classic cookie that everyone will love.

The dough for these cookies, is made similar to making a classic m&m cookie, except instead of using vanilla extract, peppermint extract is used to give them more of a Christmas flavor. They are also colored green. Bake these cookies until the center comes out clean and let them cool down completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Grinch M&M Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • green food coloring
  • 1 cup m&ms

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, mix softened butter with sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add in egg, and peppermint extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until a thick dough forms. Add in the green food coloring, and mix until it is fully green.
  3. Fold in the m&ms. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place at least 2-inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
