Green Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Quick and easy cookies for Christmas or St. Patrick’s day. These delicious green velvet cookies have all of your favorite red velvet flavors. But made with green food coloring instead of red. It makes the perfect red velvet alternative for St. Patrick’s day or Christmas. Everyone will love these cookies, filled with delicious white chocolate chips.

The cookie dough is started like a classic red velvet cookie dough, except that instead of red food coloring, green food coloring is used. And white chocolate chips are folded into the cookie dough. Use a cookie scoop to place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Green Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Add in the green food coloring and mix until it is fully green. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  • Using a cookie scoop, place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
