The cookie dough is made similar to red velvet cookie dough, except that instead of red food coloring, green is used instead. White chocolate chips are also folded into the cookie dough. It is pressed into a greased square baking dish and baked until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
Green Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- green food coloring
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with sugar until fluffy.
- Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined. Add in the green food coloring and mix until it is fully green.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips. Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
