Easy cookie bars with sprinkles makes a fun and easy to make dessert. These fun cookie bars are a great dessert for any holiday or occasion. You can change the sprinkles to make holiday-themed cookie bars. They are so soft and chewy, but easier to bake than regular cookies. Bake these colorful cookie bars for a fun and easy treat to enjoy baking with your family.
The cookie dough for these bars is prepared similar to a classic sugar cookie dough. Except with the addition of sprinkles in the dough. You can use any type of sprinkles for these bars, from holiday-themed to rainbow sprinkles.  There is no need to chill this cookie dough in the fridge before baking. After the cookie dough is made, it is pressed into a 9×13-inch baking dish and baked until they come out clean in the center.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granuated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda. In a large bowl, using a mixer beat softened butter with both granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in eggs and vanilla extract, beating until smooth. Add flour in three seprearte additions, beating after each until all of the flour is icorporated. Fold in sprinkles.
  • Spread cookie dough out into a large baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
