Fourth of July Snowball Cookies

Soft and buttery homemade snowball cookies filled with fun Fourth of July themed sprinkles. Everyone will love these easy and delicious classic snowball cookies with a fun summer themed twist. They make the perfect easy dessert this summer.

The cookie dough is made like a classic shortbread cookie dough, except for the addition of Fourth of July themed sprinkles folded into the cookie dough. Roll the dough into balls and place onto a baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Roll each cookie in a dish of powdered sugar.

Fourth of July Snowball Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Fourth of July sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix butter with powdered sugar until smooth. Add in vanilla extract and flour and mix until combined. Fold in the sprinkles.
  • Roll the dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Place powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll cookies into the sugar.
