The cookie dough is made like a classic peanut butter cookie dough, except that half of the cookie dough is made green and the other half is made blue. Roll a small amount of each cookie dough together into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until they are fully cooked through.
Earth Day Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- green and blue food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Divide the cookie dough into two bowls.
- Mix green food coloring into one bowl and blue into the other. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into a ball. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
