Crock-Pot Sausage and Peppers Sandwiches

Easy and delicious sandwiches made in the crock-pot. The filling for these sandwiches is made sausage links and peppers seasoned with Italian seasoning and covered with marinara sauce. It is slow-cooked all day until the sausage and vegetables are tender. Serve on hoagie rolls topped with sliced provolone cheese for a delicious and easy meal. Serve with a side of your favorite chips for a delicious meal with little prep work involved.

Sausage and bell peppers are cooked in a large crock-pot along with an sliced onion, Italian seasoning and marinara sauce. It is cooked all day, and served topped with provolone or mozzarella cheese over hoagie rolls. You can also toast the hoagie rolls before adding the sausage and peppers.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 sausage links
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 ( 28 oz.) jar marinara sauce
  • provolone cheese
  • 6 sub buns

Instructions
 

  • Place sausages, peppers, onion, Italian seasoning, and marinara sauce into a large crock-pot.
  • Cover and let cook for 6-8 hours. Serve on sub buns topped with provolone cheese.
