Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Easy fluffy cookie bars filled with chocolate chips. These easy cookie bars are made with cream cheese to make them more soft and fluffy. Everyone will love these easy cookie bars with the classic flavors of a chocolate chip cookie, and the soft and fluffy texture of the bars.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, except for the addition of cream cheese mixed along with the butter and sugar. The cookie dough is pressed into a greased square baking dish, and baked until the center of the cookie bars comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder. In a large bowl, combine butter with cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
