Easy sweet and buttery homemade snowball cookies filled with tons of delicious cinnamon flavors. And with chocolate chips and raisins folded into the cookie dough, all rolled in powdered sugar. The powdered sugar makes these cookies look like snowballs. They make the perfect treat to bake for Christmas or any other occasion.

The cookie dough is made by mixing butter with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, flour, and cinnamon until combined. Fold raisins and chocolate chips into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Roll each cookie into the remaining powdered sugar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour and cinnamon, mix until it is fully combined.
  • Fold in the raisins and chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Place the powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll each cookie into the powdered sugar.
