Christmas Snowball Cookies

Classic snowball cookies filled with Christmas themed sprinkles. Then rolled into powdered to sugar, making them look like snowballs. These easy cookies are perfect for making this Christmas season. They only need a few simple ingredients to make them, and everyone will love the sweet buttery taste of these cookies.

The only ingredients that you need to make these cookies are butter, powdered sugar, peppermint extract, flour, and Christmas themed sprinkles. The cookie dough is made like a classic snowball cookie, but with Christmas sprinkles folded into the dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large baking sheet and bake until the bottoms of the cookies are lightly browned. Roll the cookies into a shallow dish of powdered sugar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl combine butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in peppermint extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the sprinkles. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes. Place the powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll the cookies into the powdered sugar.
