The cookie dough is made just like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, except with the addition of Christmas-themed sprinkles folded into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until the cookies come out clean with a toothpick. Let the cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Christmas Funfetti Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Christmas sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda.
  2. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined.
  3. Fold in the Christmas sprinkles. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
