Chocolate Snowball Cookies

Classic snowball cookies with a delicious chocolate flavor. These easy snowball cookies are just like a classic buttery snowball cookie, but with cocoa powder added to the cookie dough. Everyone will love these easy buttery snowball cookies for just about any occasion.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic snowball cookie, except for the addition of cocoa powder added to the cookie dough. Roll the cookies into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake until the bottoms are lightly browned. Roll the baked cookies in powdered sugar.

Chocolate Snowball Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour and cocoa powder. Mix until it is fully combined. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Place the remaining powdered sugar into a shallow dish. Roll each cookie into the powdered sugar.
