Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies with chocolate sugar cookie dough swirled into the cookies. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies and the delicious chocolate and peanut butter flavor combination. These easy cookies are perfect to bake for just about any occasion.

Two types of cookie dough are made, one is a classic peanut butter cookie dough, and the other is a classic chocolate cookie dough. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake the cookies until fully cooked through.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined.
  3. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
