Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars

Soft and chewy chocolate cookie bars filled with tons of delicious peanut butter flavors. The chocolate and peanut butter flavors go together perfectly in these easy cookie bars. They make the perfect dessert for any occasion.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic chocolate sugar cookie dough, except for the addition of peanut butter. Press the cookie dough evenly into a greased square baking dish and bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter, peanut butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until combined. Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
