The cookie dough for these cookies is made like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough. Except with the chocolate chips, walnuts are also added into the cookie dough. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto large ungreased baking sheets. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Let the cookies cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until it is smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until all of the flour is combined. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
