Chocolate Chip Heart Blossom Cookies

Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, topped with a heart shaped chocolate. These easy blossom cookies make the perfect treat to make this Valentine’s day. They turn a classic chocolate chip cookie into a fun Valentine’s day treat that the whole family will love.

For the cookie dough, it is made just like a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, they are rolled into balls, and baked on a large baking sheet until they are cooked through. Once they come out of the oven, place one heart shaped chocolate on each cookie. Let the cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Chocolate Chip Heart Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • heart shaped chocolates

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract, and mix until it is smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture, and mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, and place one heart chocolate on each cookie.
