Chocolate Chip Cadbury Egg Cookie Bars

Soft and chewy classic chocolate chip cookie bars filled with mini cadbury eggs. These easy cookie bars make the perfect easy treat to bake this Easter. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies, and classic chocolate chip flavors combined with the chocolate cadbury eggs.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic chocolate chip cookie dough, except with the addition of mini cadbury eggs folded into the cookie dough. Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased square baking dish. Bake until the center of the cookie bars comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Chocolate Chip Cadbury Egg Cookie Bars

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini cadbury eggs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, mix until it is fully combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and cadbury eggs.
  • Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
