Chocolate Chip Blossom Cookies

Blossom cookies are usually made using peanut butter cookie dough, but these chocolate chip blossom cookies make a fun twist on two classic cookies. It combines a classic chocolate chip cookie with a classic blossom cookie. These cookies are perfect to enjoy anytime of the year when you want to bake a fun treat with your family.

The cookie dough for these cookies is made with a classic chocolate chip cookie dough. The cookies are baked as usual, then top each one with a unwrapped chocolate kiss. Let the cookies cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Chocolate Chip Blossom Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • chocolate kisses

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, combine butter with both sugars until fluffy.
  • Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture, and mix until all of the flour is combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls, and place them onto a large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven, and top each cookie with one unwrapped chocolate kiss.
