Cheddar Cheese Stuffed Rolls

Fluffy and butter homemade dinner rolls, stuffed with melted cheddar cheese. These homemade rolls are delicious and cheesy, all topped off with delicious garlic butter and dried parsley. The rolls are made with a classic yeast dough, stuffed with cheddar cheese, so you get a delicious bite of creamy cheese with every bite. These rolls are perfect for serving with a bowl of soup or chili. They are perfect for warming you up this winter with all of that creamy melted cheese. 

The dough for these rolls are made with a classic buttery dinner roll recipe. You can also use refrigerated pizza dough for this recipe instead to save on time. After the first rise of the dough, divide it into small pieces, and flatten each slightly. Place shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each piece of dough, roll into a ball, sealing it tightly. Place onto a large greased baking sheet. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes, before baking until the tops are lightly browned. While the bread is baking, in a small bowl, combine melted butter with salt, and garlic powder. Brush the warm rolls with the garlic butter. Sprinkle with dried parsley.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions
 

  • Place milk into a microwave-safe bowl, heat in the microwave for one minute. Stir in sugar and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms. Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth. Place dough into a large greased bowl, cover and let rise for 1-2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Deflate dough and divide into small balls, flatten each piece, and place about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese in the center. Roll into a ball, sealing it tightly. Place onto a large greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise for 30-60 minutes.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, salt, and garlic powder. Brush mixture over warm rolls. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
