The cookie cake is made by mixing a box of cake mix with eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Then stir in pink food coloring. Fold in chocolate chips and press the cookie dough into a cake pan. Bake until the center comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before decorating. Mix all of the frosting ingredients together until smooth. Pipe frosting onto the cake and serve.
Cake Mix Watermelon Cookie Cake
Ingredients
- 1 ( 15 oz.) box yellow cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- pink food coloring
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- green food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. Add in food coloring and mix until it is fully pink. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Evenly press the cookie dough into a greased round 9-inch cake pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool completely. In a large bowl, mix butter with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add in the food coloring and mix until it is fully green. Pipe frosting onto the cookie cake.
