Cake Mix Peanut Butter Snickerdoodle Spider Cookies

Soft and chewy peanut butter cookies made with a box of cake mix and rolled in a delicious mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, giving the cookies a classic snickerdoodle flavor. The cookies are also decorated with mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, candy eyes, and icing to make the cookies look like spiders. They are perfect to bake this Halloween season.

The cookie dough is made by mixing a box of cake mix with peanut butter, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place the cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and decorate with the peanut butter cups, candy eyes, and icing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ( 15 oz.) box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • mini peanut butter cups
  • candy eyes
  • icing

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, peanut butter, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  • Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and top with peanut butter cups. Decorate with candy eyes and icing.
