The cookie dough is made by mixing a box of cake mix with peanut butter, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll each cookie dough into a dish of red, white or blue sanding sugars. Place onto a baking sheet and bake until each cookie is fully cooked through.
Cake Mix Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Red, White and Blue Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 ( 15 oz.) box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- red, white and blue sanding sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, peanut butter, eggs and vegetable oil until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips. Place each sanding sugar into a shallow dish.
- Roll the cookie dough into balls and roll each one into the sanding sugars. Place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
