Easy roasted carrots sweetened with brown sugar. These tasty carrots are the perfect side dish to add to any dinner. They are sweet and slightly spicy with brown sugar and paprika. All that you need to make these carrots are a bag of baby carrots, olive oil, brown sugar and some seasonings. By roasting them in the oven, it makes the carrots more tender. They are a quick and easy side dish that is naturally vegan and gluten-free for a healthy dish.
I used baby carrots for this recipe because they involve less prep work. But you can also use fresh whole carrots that you peeled and sliced into smaller slices. Mix the carrots with olive oil, brown sugar, salt, pepper and paprika in a baking dish. Roast the carrots in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the carrots are tender.
Brown Sugar Roasted Carrots
Ingredients
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Place carrots into a large baking dish. Mix with olive oil, brown sugar, salt, pepper and paprika.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until carrots are tender.
