Brown Sugar Oatmeal Cookies

Soft and chewy classic oatmeal cookies made with brown sugar. These easy chewy cookies make the perfect easy treat for any holiday or occasion. Everyone will love the soft and chewy texture of the cookies and the delicious oatmeal and brown sugar flavors.

The cookie dough is made similar to a classic oatmeal cookie dough, except for the addition of brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.

Brown Sugar Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
