Cheesy dough with garlic stuffed green olives baked in the middle of it. These baked cheese olives are the perfect appetizer for new years eve, or any other party. These cheese olives are a classic party appetizer from the 1950’s, but it is just as delicious today. My favorite thing about this quick appetizer is that they are freezer safe, before baking. Then when you are ready to bake them, there is no need to defrost. Just bake these tasty appetizers straight from the oven.

To make the cheese dough, flour, shredded cheddar cheese, salt and paprika are whisked together. Melted butter is then poured into the flour mixture, until the mixture has formed a thick dough. Take a small amount of the cheese dough and slightly flatten it. Place one green olive on the dough and wrap the cheese dough around it, covering it completely. You can then place these olives into a large plastic bag and freeze them, or you can bake them right away. Bake until the tops are lightly golden browned.
