The onion rings are coated in a mixture of egg and milk, then coated in a Cajun seasoned flour mixture, and coated back into the egg. Fully coat each onion ring into a dish of breadcrumbs, and place them onto a large baking sheet. Bake until the onion rings are crispy and lightly golden browned.
Baked Cajun Onion Rings
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. Slice the onion into large rings. In a shallow dish, combine egg and milk. In another dish, combine flour and seasoning. Place the breadcrumbs into the last dish.
- Coat each onion ring into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture, then back into the egg mixture, and then coat fully into the breadcrumbs.
- Place the onion rings onto a large greased baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
