Valentine’s Day Frosted Brownies

Easy chewy chocolate brownies topped with a creamy and delicious pink buttercream frosting and topped with fun Valentine’s day themed sprinkles. Everyone will love the delicious classic chocolate brownies and creamy frosting for a fun Valentine’s day themed dessert this year.

The brownie batter is made like a classic brownie mix and spread into a greased square baking dish. Bake until the center of the brownies comes out clean with a toothpick. Let cool completely before frosting. Mix all of the frosting ingredients together and spread onto the brownies. Top with sprinkles and cut into squares.

Valentine's Day Frosted Brownies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pink food coloring
  • Valentine's day sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda together. Add in eggs, melted butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Let cool completely. In a large bowl, mix together butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Add in food coloring.
  • Spread the frosting over the brownies and top with sprinkles. Cut into squares.
