Grinch Oatmeal Cookies

Soft and chewy oatmeal cookies made green with food coloring and with a mini heart shaped sprinkle topped on each cookie. These easy chewy cookies make the perfect easy treat to bake for a fun Christmas or Grinch themed dessert this Christmas season.

The cookie dough is made like a classic oatmeal cookie dough, then green food coloring is mixed into the cookie dough. Use a cookie scoop to place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at bake until they are fully cooked through. Remove from the oven and top each one with a heart shaped sprinkle.

Grinch Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • green food coloring
  • heart sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, oats, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  • Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined. Add in the food coloring and mix until it is fully green. Use a cookie scoop to place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and top each one with a heart sprinkle.
