The only four ingredients that you need is butter, powdered sugar, peppermint extract and chocolate chips. Mix the butter with powdered sugar and peppermint extract until a thick dough forms. Roll the mixture into balls and place onto a plate. Freeze while you melt the chocolate chips in the microwave until it is fully melted and smooth. Coat each truffle in the chocolate and set onto a plate. Let sit until it is completely set.
Peppermint Buttercream Truffles
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together butter, powdered sugar and peppermint extract until it is fully combined. Roll the mixture into balls and place onto a plate. Freeze for at least 20 minutes.
- Place chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl, and heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well until it is fully melted and smooth. Coat each truffle in the chocolate and set onto a plate. Let sit until it is completely set.
