The cookie dough is made similar to a classic sugar cookie dough, except for the addition of vanilla pudding mix. The cookie dough is divided between two bowls. One is mixed with red food coloring and one with green. Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls and roll into balls. Roll each one into a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Place cookies onto a large ungreased baking sheet and bake until the cookies are fully cooked through.
Christmas Pudding Snickerdoodle Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ( 3 oz.) box vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- red and green food coloring
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pudding mix, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add in egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it is fully combined.
- Divide the cookie dough between two bowls, mix one with red food coloring and one with green food coloring. In a shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Take a small amount of each cookie dough and roll together into balls. Roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place onto a large ungreased baking sheet at least 2-inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
